Navigating the Virtual Gallery
General Instructions for
Navigating the Virtual Gallery
  • To get to any area within the gallery's current exhibit, search service, etc., click on its button with your mouse. Enjoy the view and/or follow the printed menus to proceed.

  • Requests for photographs will produce thumbnail images as on a contact sheet.

  • If you like a particular photograph and want to see it bigger, click on its thumbnail anywhere in the image area and it will bring up a larger image with information about the photograph and its price.

  • Click on the shaded "linked" text and you will find out more about the artist, or whatever is printed in the linked text. For example, if you are looking at a subject matter contact sheet and it displays a photograph by Dorothea Lange, clicking on the image will give you the larger version along with the photographs, catalogue description, and price.
Clicking on the Artist’s name "Lange" under the photograph will give you a contact sheet with all the Lange’s on our website.

The rest of the navigation is simple. Navigation buttons for finding and viewing work are on the left hand navigation bar. While additional information (such as bios) and choice making are on the bars above and below the main screen. It’s easy, dig in.

ENJOY!
